About me!

My name is Brian, and I always loved plants as a kid, but whenever the brutal Pomona summer came around, everything I put in the ground would wither.

After thirty years and the purchase of my first house changed all that. I began researching what truly would grow in my yard— what would it look like if, instead of a square of lawn and a chunk concrete, the land was what nature intended it to be.

Three years later, I’ve replaced every square foot of my own yard, some of my neighbors, and my family’s yards with California Natives. My goal is to return acres of thirsty lawn back to nature, to see hummingbirds, bumblebees, and birds flourishing on the bounty that California’s unique plants provide.

I hope you join me.
